Conference

The Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth (RASC) organises biennial conferences, providing a unique platform for agricultural leaders, innovators, and future industry champions from across the Commonwealth to come together.

The RASC Biennial Conferenece

Our conferences focus on promoting sustainable agricultural practices, fostering knowledge exchange, and creating a space where ideas and experiences are shared across diverse regions and sectors. By gathering experts, practitioners, and emerging leaders, we aim to shape the future of agriculture and address global challenges, from food security to climate resilience.

Each RASC conference is designed to deliver a program that combines presentations, debates, and interactive sessions, as well as hands-on experiences in local agriculture. Through these activities, delegates gain insights into emerging trends, build professional networks, and deepen their understanding of the agricultural issues facing our world. Our conferences emphasise relevance, adaptability, sustainability, and connectivity—values that are essential for advancing agriculture in today’s dynamic environment.

Our biennial conference is also a crucial opportunity for Next Generation (NG) delegates, future leaders who bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions. By nurturing their growth and connecting them with industry leaders, we build a resilient and adaptable agricultural community for the future.

  • Attending the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth (RASC) Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland, was an unforgettable and wonderful experience. The conference offered a unique platform to connect with agricultural leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts from across the globe, fostering a profound sense of global community and collaboration. It was an experience I will cherish forever.

  • The 2024 RASC Conference in Edinburgh was excellent and a fabulous networking opportunity.   It was very interesting to hear from like-minded event organisers such as the Minnesota State Fair and the Erie Country Fair and to know that regardless of size, duration of the event, culture etc… all our events have similarities and all face similar challenges.

  • We have been members, exhibitors, workshop leaders and sponsors for fourteen years and look forward to participating in many future conferences. We certainly enjoy visiting the different countries and the hospitality of the host Showgrounds. The conferences provide the latest in innovative ideas and it has been especially rewarding to see some of our Next Generation participants grow up and become General Managers of some of the leading Showgrounds globally.

  • The New Zealand National Fieldays Society has always had a clear strategic focus on international connection over many years. Membership and attending shows and events are crucial for both our organisation and country to create opportunity.

Having now attended two RASC international events I can categorically say this learning has transformed back into our business. The networks and people I have also met have enabled me to reach out periodically to get in formation and stay connected.

  • At the Royal Agricultural Society Congress 2024 in Edinburgh, we shared a clear message: we have a collective responsibility to secure a sustainable future for agriculture.  My personal highlight was when Minette Betters progressive and renowned former NFU president picked up several points from my speech to highlight them in hers. An appreciation for our work that means a lot to me.
