Our Spring Newsletter

Welcome to the first newsletter of 2022 and let’s hope it will be a better year than 2021.

Here in the UK, things are being to open up with restrictions slowly being lifted. Let’s hope that our shows can go ahead again this year. We have the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW celebrating 200 years since it was formed on 5th July 1822 and the annual subscription was 5 guineas a year. The Royal Highland Show celebrates its 200th Show as well.

I am sorry to hear that the Wanaka Show which is held in March in the South Island of New Zealand has been cancelled.

The A.G.M will be on Wednesday 29th June at the Royal Norfolk Show where we hope that our President, HRH The Princess Royal, will attend. The day before, we hope that there will be a tour of some of the places that we had hoped to visit at the 2020 conference.

Here at home, we had the opening of the salmon fishing season and the river is blessed by the vicar.
