The South of England Show at Ardingly West Sussex

Trustee and guests from the RASC attended the first day of the South of England Show at Ardingly on the 5th June. There was an excellent show of Cattle and Horses as well as Sheep, Pigs, Goats and a Hound Show area.
The Ardingly Ring (main ring) had some excellent displays for Members and the general public to watch. We saw the Hackney in Hand Championship Parade and the National Champion Hackney Harness Pony .There was show jumping, Heavy Horse turnout, and the Kangaroo Motorbike display Team in the morning.
The President Lord Egremont D.L. and the Chairman Mr Michael Lambert kindly invited everyone to join them for drinks and canapés in the Presidents Tent.
In the afternoon there was a display in the Ardingly ring of Driving for the Disabled. Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, President s of RDA gave a rosettes to every competitor.
After the display The Princess Royal honoured the RASC by attending their AGM as President. After the AGM she talked to everyone at the meeting.
