RASC is delighted by the news of the appointment of Aled Jones as the new CEO of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society. Aled has been a Trustee of RASC for a number of years and has been one of our Next Generation Facilitators playing a key role in the development of that section of RASC.
Aled has an enormous knowledge and wealth of experience of the Agricultural Show Society world and his Nuffield Scholarship Report into the role of Agricultural Societies and Shows was a landmark document which has huge relevance today as show societies grapple with the challenges post the Covid pandemic.
Through his broadcasting skills Aled has been helping RASC improve its communication with members in particular with the start of a series of RASC Podcasts. RASC sends many congratulations to Aled and we look forward to working with him in his role as CEO of the RWAS.
